The Comic Strip...
This new event is guaranteed to bring your group or team together, becuase everyone is involved from the start.
The group are presented with a unique challenge. Each team is given a short paragraph of a story that they must convert into a single A2 picture-board. Not only must the teams work on their own picture-board, but they must also communicate with the next team in the sequence in order to link together the two parts of the story. Once the teams have completed their initial, and link picture-boards, all the artwork is placed in order to tell the whole story.
- The story can be related to work topics and structured towards a specific corporate goal.
- Each team is responsible for their initial picture-board, as well as coming up with a ‘link’ picture-board that will allow their initial board to follow-on to the next teams in the sequence. This will require the team communicating with the next team along with showing initiative and imagination in creating their ‘link’ board too,
- The entire group needs to set and agree upon a working strategy in the planning process to ensure that everyone is working by the same rules. The completed picture-boards must follow the original storyline.
- Teams will only be aware of their original paragraph, and that of the next team in the sequence who they must link with. Teams will need to use their imagination in creating their ‘link’ picture-boards.
- The whole story will use a selection of characters and locations, information of which will be given to all teams. If the communication and teamwork is effective then the masterpiece that is recreated will be an exact replica of the original.
The picture-board canvases are A2 in size and each team will be provided with a full selection of pencils, coloured marker pens and equipment. At the end of the event we will present the story-line to you, if teams have come from different offices or departments, they will have the opportunity to take their own relevant boards with them. The Comic Strip requires a strong group dynamic and is an excellent event to bring groups together. No original artistic background is required and the group will be amazed at the quality of the final storyline. A sure fire winner every time. We are happy to incorporate a company theme or corporate goals into the exercise.
Note: No level of artistic skill is required for this event. Teams will be able to create their picture boards with the knowledge that they are not being assessed on their artwork. The concept of the event is that the group will create a continuous story line that outlines the original brief.
