Picasso Art
Perfect as an indoor alternative for team building that requires very little physical activity.
During the briefing delegates will be shown an abstract canvas painting. All the teams have to do is collectively re-create the masterpiece. Sound simple? Well there are a few rules!
- The masterpiece will be divided into sections (the number of which will be dependent upon group sizes). Each team will only replicate a particular section of the original painting.
- The entire group needs to set and agree upon a working strategy in the planning process to ensure that everyone is guided by the same rules.
- Only one member of each team is allowed to view their section of the original painting, and at a set time only. This 'runner' must communicate the relevant information to the 'painter' who will never see the original.
- Once the teams put all the completed pieces together, the new version should match the original.
- The masterpiece that they are recreating will be on a different scale and could be up to 4m in height..
- All teams must work to a deadline.
Once time is called on the exercise, the teams return to the main stage to piece together their paintings. Each team places their section into the framework in order to complete the challenge.
If the communication and teamwork is effective then the masterpiece that is recreated will be an enlarged replica of the original. In essence the final pictures speak volumes and can be hung in any reception area and referred to in the future by all participants.
