Outdoor Life
A multi day experience, where the delegates will build relationships through sharing a common experience. Possible locations for this event include the Lake District, North Wales and the New Forest.
Interactive learning sessions will be interspersed with opportunities for both group and individual achievement, which will enable delegates to focus upon corporate goals. Results orientated facilitation will accelerate the development process.
This event works best with small groups ensuring effective teambuilding.
DAY 1
Stage 1 Mission Impossible
Each group member will be given different parts of the overall brief. Collectively the group must arrive at the venue on time, ready for the first sessions.
Stage 2 Team Challenge
Upon arrival at the venue, the Challenge is a two hour exercise, which will develop skills through a series of tasks, and activities that are exciting, fun and exhilarating.
Stage 3 Overnight Accommodation
The group will stay at pre-arranged accommodation whether you decide upon a hotel or a night under canvas.
DAY 2
After an early breakfast, the group will head outdoors and now the adventure really begins.
Stage 4 Mountain Walk / Hike
Not only an ideal time to savour the splendours of the countryside but also an opportunity to get the blood pumping through the legs. With this in mind the group will be accompanied by an experienced and qualified Mountain guide at all times. During this time the group will be confronted with several logic problems that they must complete before they continue. Also if the terrain allows, we will incorporate rock climbing and abseiling as part of the activities.
Stage 5 (Activity dependent upon location)
Raft Extravaganza (North Wales)
Not for the fainted hearted, this session will again run on two teams (7 per raft) and allows you to take part in a truly spectacular 2-hour experience. Your transport for this White-water ride is a rugged, inflatable 14ft raft, specially made in the UK. The rafts are self-bailing with inflatable floors and the compartment design ensures that each raft is virtually unsinkable.
Gorge Scramble (Lake District)
A pure test of team work in an unusual environment. The group walk down a valley to the base of the river, where they "jump in" and start their return journey back up the gorge. Obstacles along the way can be mini waterfalls, rock climbs and traverses. The final challenge is a 20ft drop into a plunge pool (optional). The teams then head back to base camp where it is time to change into dry clothes and move on to the afternoon activities.
Mountain Bike Safari (Lake District or New Forest)
The teams are given maps, co-ordinates and GPS units and must travel a set course arriving at set locations within set time parameters.
Each group is assisted by a qualified instructor who will help them on their way. Not only will this activity test their physical ability, but also their means of goal setting as the group must agree a time limit to complete the course in. Depending upon location, various courses may be available to suit experience and confidence levels.
Stage 6
Return to accommodation for de-brief and then either depart or stay overnight.
Various activities are available for this event and they are always location dependent. We will tailor a package for your requirements based on activities available and physical ability of the delegates. Our aim is always to ensure that everyone enjoys the event and is able to participate at a comfortable level.
