Formula 1 Pit Stop Challenge
Teams will feel the pressure rise as they are required to change all 4 tyres of a Formula 1 car. After a full demonstration and a quick practice, teams must then, under the watchful eyes of the other teams, change the tyres as quickly racing against the clock.
The group will be shown how to safely operate all the equipment as we ask them to change all 4 tyres on our F1 car.
We will provide the following:
- Corporate branded Formula 1 car
- Front and rear jacks
- 4 impact guns with air lines
- 4 spare tyres
- Gloves for all operators
Once we have run the demonstration in front of the whole group, each team must, in turn, come up to the stage area and take the challenge. After a quick practice and safety check it’s 3, 2, 1 and go, go, go. The clock starts and the team must put the stationary car on the jacks, remove and then replace all 4 tyres as quickly as possible. It always looks easy on the TV but with added pressure of a ticking clock and watchful eyes from other teams, anything can happen.
The challenge involves planning and delegation from the outset as each team member agrees to take on a particular task. There are 10 positions in all.
We include a branding service for the car to match either your corporate image or the theme of the specific conference. Company logos or conference strap lines can be strategically placed on the car for maximum impact.
One way of enhancing the event is to have a live camera feed onto your main screen. Not only does this add to the pressure for the team taking the challenge, but it allows the other teams in the room to see how the performance is going.
We would require sufficient space in the room to set up the car and equipment and have adequate access. This event can run during an afternoon session where we set up during lunch or a coffee break. For 100 delegates we would look at the event lasting between 1 -1½ hours.
